Choose DLT Platform
Select your DLT platform: Jio (Vilpower), Airtel (Airtel DLT), Vodafone Idea (Vi DLT), or BSNL. Each platform charges a one-time registration fee.
Prepare Documents
Gather: Company PAN card, GST certificate, Certificate of Incorporation, authorised signatory's Aadhaar/PAN, Letter of Authorisation, and company letterhead.
Register as Principal Entity
Create an account on your chosen DLT platform. Submit company documents and pay the registration fee (typically Rs 5,900 + GST). Approval takes 3-7 business days.
Get Entity ID
Once approved, you receive a unique Entity ID (PE ID). This ID is required for all subsequent registrations.
Register Sender IDs
Register your sender IDs (headers) — the 6-character alphanumeric name displayed to recipients (e.g., LDGSTY). You can register multiple headers for different purposes.
Choose Header Type
Transactional: For OTPs, order updates, account alerts. Promotional: For marketing offers and campaigns. Service Implicit: For service messages to existing customers.
Wait for Approval
Header approval takes 1-3 business days. Ensure the header is unique and doesn't conflict with existing registrations.
Create Message Templates
Register every SMS template you plan to use. Include fixed text and variable placeholders ({#var#}). Each template needs a unique name.
Select Template Type
Transactional: OTP, alerts, updates (sent 24/7). Promotional: Marketing messages (sent 9 AM–9 PM). Service Implicit: Existing customer service messages (sent 24/7).
Submit for Approval
Submit templates on the DLT platform. Approval takes 1-7 days. Rejected templates can be modified and resubmitted.
Collect & Record Consent
Maintain consent records for all recipients. Consent can be collected via website forms, WhatsApp opt-in, written forms, or IVR.
Upload Consent to DLT
Upload consent records to the DLT platform for promotional messaging. Include consent date, source, and expiry.
Set Up Preference Management
Honour opt-out requests within 7 days. Maintain a suppression list. Lodgestory handles this automatically via the SMS channel settings.
